Dr. Amit Pal is a distinguished environmental biologist and academician with over 25 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership. He is currently serving as Professor in the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Arunachal University of Studies, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Biology from A.P.S. University, Rewa, with a specialization in afforestation and wasteland management, following his M.Phil. and M.Sc. in the same discipline.
Dr. Pal has made significant contributions to the fields of environmental pollution, biodiversity conservation, and phytoremediation. His research primarily focuses on pollution monitoring, ecosystem restoration, and the application of plants in mitigating environmental contaminants. He has completed postdoctoral research at CSIR–National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow, and has been actively involved in several nationally funded research projects.
An accomplished scholar, Dr. Pal has published over 100 research papers in reputed national and international journals, along with several books and book chapters. His work has received substantial academic recognition, reflected in a strong citation record and research indices.
