Dr. Vivek Kumar Singh is a distinguished scholar, editor, and industry leader with over 20+ years of experience spanning research, academia, and corporate leadership across Asia and Europe. He is the co-editor and contributing author of Renewable Energy Development: Technology, Material and Sustainability (Clean Energy Production Technologies, 2024 Edition), published in collaboration with leading experts in the field. His editorial and scholarly contributions reflect a strong commitment to advancing global discourse on sustainable energy systems and clean technology innovation.
Dr. Singh earned his Doctorate (with Distinction) in Sustainable Energy Systems from the University of Coimbra through the prestigious MIT–Portugal Program — a collaborative initiative between the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) and Portugal. He also holds a Master’s degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from VIT University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.
Currently, Dr. Singh serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aadink Pharma Pvt. Ltd. (since December 2023), where he provides strategic leadership, guides organizational development, and drives innovation at the intersection of science, sustainability, and business transformation.
Prior to his leadership roles in industry, Dr. Singh made significant contributions to research and policy as a Research Scientist at the Center for the Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) in India and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at INESC Coimbra – Institute for Systems Engineering and Computers, Portugal. His career also includes impactful collaborations with globally recognized institutions such as The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in New Delhi.
Dr. Singh’s research and professional portfolio spans energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, energy modelling and planning, investment models, market transformation analysis, and water resource management. His expertise extends to conducting Water Audits and Water Positive Assessments, supporting industries and institutions in designing and implementing integrated water–energy sustainability strategies. These initiatives promote circular water use, resource efficiency, and alignment with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks.
He employs advanced analytical tools such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), economic input–output analysis, urban metabolism, energy and environmental economics, and pathway forecasting for net-zero emission strategies, climate mitigation, and resource-positive transitions.
